[TRNSYS-users] Variable heat pump question

Hello,

I am modeling a variable speed water to water heat pump using the multi
dimensional interpolator, and I want to be able to change the setpoint of
the heat pump. Currently, I am reading the return temperature and inlet
flow rate, and inputting that into an equation to calculate the load
necessary to have my output equal to my desired setpoint temperature. I am
controlling the setpoint temperature based on an equation that defines time
periods when it should be higher or lower.

My issue is, during transitional periods for the setpoint, there is a steep
increase/decrease in temperature, which I cannot reconcile based on the
loads seen by the heat pump. Any advice on how to fix this, or a better
strategy to implement my needs? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you,
Erich Ryan
