[TRNSYS-users] Simulation of Shading Zone

Fernanda,

There is no representation of shading surfaces visible in TRNBuild.
In order to see the impact of shading, you'll need to generate the
shading matrix file from TRNBuild, which is an option in the TRNBuild
Tools menu. This will create a file with the extension *.shm. If the
*.shm file is found in the same location as the *.b18 file then shading
will be taken into account. If you move the *.shm file then shading will
be ignored. Also keep in mind that Type56 assesses the impact of shading
only on windows, not on walls so if your building has very few windows
then the impacts may be minimal.

kind regards,

  David
