Hello everybody!

Thank a lot you for your help, I write one more time
I got it how type 9 and type 54, but I think I will work with type 9. I am trying to make up a hybrid system.
I got some inquire about Type 180c:

	* To input 2: The solar radiation flux (G) I have to set one quantity (ex. 800, 1000 w/m2) or I should have to set to zero, as the flux is coming from Type 180.
	* To input 3: Tamb I have to set one quantity (ex. 20ºC) or I should have to set to zero, as the temperature is coming from Type 9.Then I am working with Type 175 (Power conditioning),that is I linked type 180 to Type 175, but I ask myself:
Does It work like DC/DC or AC/DC? I read the manual and the manual show me that this type can work like DC/DC or AC/DC. But when I configured that one I couldn't see one option to configure its mode (DC/DC or AC/DC). It choose inside itself its way works?.
I want to use the power to charge a battery and to send the loads. Is Type 175 followed by Type 48d (regulator and inverter) to link a battery or I just link type 175 to a battery?.
If I only use the type 175 how the grid knows that the voltage is AC or DC, maybe I need to use another component can you show me, please?

Kind regards
Edwin Cruz Lazo

Asunto: Re: [TRNSYS-users] Data Reader

Edwin,

Type9:
Type9 just reads columns of numbers from ASCII text files. Each row of
the file represents an equal increment of time. The increment doesn't
matter (it might be 5 minutes, it might be an hour, it might be 30
seconds) but all rows must be in equal increments. You can't really use
Type9 to provide data from 8AM to 5PM on certain days. The file must
contain data for each increment of time during the entire period. If
the end of the data file is encountered during a simulation, the data
file is "rewound" and the simulation starts reading from the beginning
again. In Excel, you could make a data file that has values of -99 (or
something) during those periods when data is unavailable - that way you
would know from looking at the output of Type9 when there is good data
and when it should be ignored.

Type54:
You don't really need to worry about the default random number seed.
Type54 makes a statistically possible hourly weather profile from a
single monthly value but there is intentionally an element of
randomness in the weather data that it provides. Sometimes the
randomness isn't reasonable for some reason so Type54 allows you to
change the number that is used to generate the random element.

For the time inconsistency error, make sure that you have connected
the "time of last read" and "time of next read" outputs from Type54 to
Type16 and make sure that Type54 appears before Type16 in the order of
your components in the input file (you can check this by looking at the
"component order" tab in the control cards where you set the simulation
start and stop time.
Kind regards,
 David

Hello
Dear David!

Tahnk a lot you for your help, but Please, could you help me one more
time?
My hesitate about the data reader type
9:
Trnsys 15 provides me a data inside of the type 9(for sample Nº1), but
I am not really sure what represents the column number 1. I think this
represent the huouly radiation average value with respective
temperature. If it'll be like this so when I link the data reader with
type 16 (radiation): output 1(data reader) to input 1 (type 16) and
output 2 (data reader) to input 2(type 16). This is right or it's
wrong?
About the interval data: if i want to read through 16 June - 20 July
2007 and through 8 a.m - 5 p.m for example 30 June how can I do inside
the program. Just to provide a individual data for 8 a.m - 5 p.m on 30
June to type 9,but no all the data through 16 June - 20 july.

Type 54a

What do you mean "default
random number", how it can influence on the process or on which
parameter or variable directly?
On deck: I tried to link type 54a to type 16 but I got a following error

 ***** ERROR ***** TRNSYS ERROR # 172
UNIT 1 TYPE 16 RADIATION PROCESSOR
TIME INCONSISTENCY BETWEEN WEATHER AND RADIATION PROCESSOR
BE SURE THAT THE WEATHER DATA READER OR WEATHER DATA
GENERATOR PRECEDES THIS UNIT OF TYPE 16 IN THE INPUT FILE.

but I used the supplied data for Trnsys to this type (wdata) I don't
know why happened that?
What kind of the time the program mean (time of the last data reader)?

I am sorry to bother you but I am begginer trnsys. I hope you can help
me one more time.

[TRNSYS-users] Data Reader

Edwin,
Your choice of data reader depends only on what data you have
available. Type54 takes monthly average weather conditions
(temperature, humidity, and solar radiation) and generates a
statistically possible set of hourly conditions. Type9 simply reads a
data file. If you have measured hourly data, you can use Type9. If you
have monthly conditions only, you will need to use Type54. If the
location that you are working on is close enough to one of the
Meteonorm sites you can use Type15 and one of the already-provided
hourly weather data files that come with TRNSYS. If at all possible, I
would recommend using Type15 and a pre-existing data file.
Kind regards,
 David

Hi
everybody!

I
am making my hybrid system, I'm working with a PV- generetor, WECS and
DEGS, but I found one thesis that it uses a TYPE 54, but for Trnsys
samples I know that I have to use Type 9. Really I don't what I will
use? cause I have WECS and PV. I have to use one of them for both
(WECS, PV) or the two data reader one for WECS and another for PV.
Which one is better to use?
Please, please somebody can help me?

Thank you very much!
