I read a book about Stalingrad during the German siege
in WWII. There was a whole cannibal culture that
developed. They gave all sorts of medical reasons for
this mainly due to the overabsorption of hormones in
the cannibals body.
In due, I can say this was from an overconsumption of
human flesh during famine (people would eat wallpaper
becasue of the flour-based glue). A cannibal might not
show any of these symptoms in moderation - it might in
be good for one, but adepts are not really known for
restraint for their obsession. I used it because the
waxy skin and stink are great signs for these foul
magicians.
It could always be a magically amplified symptom - a
scar of pride of some sorts.
Cheers,
Chris.
