As a matter of fact, that's how I plan to start my next campaign (once UA2 is in 
my greedy little hands): In a shabby motel room, a woman has passed out on the 
bed. The phone rings, startling her. She picks up the receiver, and a voice on 
the other end of the phone says "There has been an accident. You should be very 
careful".

It was one woman who picked the receiver up, but three women who put it down 
again - and suddently, the three PCs find themselves in this room, with no clue 
of how they actually got there, and with two *identical* copies of themselves 
staring at them, respectively. From there on, it'll be a wild chase to discover 
their three respective identities, stay clear of those whacko occultists who 
need "three sacrifices who share one soul" for some obscure ritual, avoid the 
reality-hit-squads sent after them by the Comte, find out who the mysterious 
starnger on the phone was, and hopefully find a way back into their original 
lives, where only one of them exists.

Why can't I ever think of something new and original...? 8)
