capacity for cruel practical jokes in UA is an
endearing feature, one of the neat parts of the world
and a reflection, perhaps, of its innate humanity.

I've been looking for a new group dynamic. I don't
want to fall into that X-Files/ Paranormal
Investigator trap again.

Friends," "How to Play with your Food," "How to Play
in Traffic" and their seminal film, "Pen and Teller
Get Killed" for a good source of inspiration.

Great recommendation! I've seen the movie but never
looked at the books. I'll give 'em a look. Now if I
can find that old copy of Survival Research's Pranks,
I'll be in business.

>I believe Tim mentioned the Cruel Ones, which pop
into my head whenever someone mentions Transmigration

Which post was that? I am starting to hedge away from
the transmigration idea. One of the major stumbling
blocks I've had in my growing understanding of UA is
focusing more on " What will people do to
succeed/survive?" over "Secrets humanity aren't
supposed to know." I am thinking that if I place the
cosmic level stuff further down the list of
priorities, I may be able to resist.

>You know, you could create this missing Andy Warhol
piece pretty easily. There's pictures of Cagliostro
here and there on the net and in some better occult
dictionaries. If you have a photo manipulation program
like Photoshop, you could do a line of Cagliostro
pictures, alternating their tint and background color.

It would certainly imply transmigration.

Hadn't thought of this. Just as I got the lithograph
image out of my head, too. I am definitely thinking
there should be some sort of hand-outs for this
preposed adventure. Maybe I can still find an angle to
work this idea in.

>I see the Dealership more involved than the
Trickster, especially if you encourage the characters
to screw each other (in a playful manner.)

Well that depends on the nature on The Cabal of
Pranksters. Originally I was thinking of clued
pranking powerful clueless figures in a non-violent
manner as a means to point up social or societal
absurdities. Possibly a splinter off Mak Attax: a
bunch of service workers who got cynical about
flipping burgers and trying to bring magic into the
life of unappreciative customers.

I can see other angles to this now. Maybe The Cabal of
Pranksters is incompetetion with itself to one up each
other or to undermine the more self- important members
of The Occult Underground. Perhaps it is a ritualized
changing of the guard for control of the group.

Whichever option(s) I settle on, they will a major
annoyance for The Sleepers.
