Get a roll that's above your technique but below your
form?  If the roll is below both your technique and
your form, your spell goes awry from loss of control. 
If your roll is above both your form and your
technique, your spell is ineffective.  If your roll is
somehow both below your technique and above your form,
it backfires somehow.
