Oh, and about magic loosing it's power(excuse me, my books are hidden under
a stack of school stuff at the moment and don't leap instantly to hand, and
I just don't care enough to dig through a huge pile of accumulated
education), Hermetic magic is still partially foiled in areas of Divine
influence, right? Also, there's the huge conflict between magicians and
mortals since the destruction of natural resources also destroys naturally
occuring sources of Vis.

Further, I think in one of the books, I THINK Houses of Hermes, I remember
some person whining about how modern magicians weren't as powerful as the
founders were, or their apprentices. Mind you, this could be either because
those legends were just tall tales or because those old sorcerers were more
focused in their magic, but still... Also, isn't one of the main research
areas for the Bonisagi to reinvent Hermetic magic to incorporate all
existing paradigms so it wouldn't go extinct.

Once again, I might be thinking 3ed. since I'm not looking at my books right
now, but I don't think so.
