What I was suggesting was that the civil rights movement and such was the result of Hitler ascending, and thus everyone making connections between weakness and ethical quality and the like.

Consider much of the Nazi claims prior to the Olympics in the 1930s, in which they were claiming their Aryan athletes would defeat the American black athletes (who were lesser).  While I don't think he targeted them as much as the Jews (though there is the often overlooked issue of exterminating the Gypsies [ironically, the actual Aryans] and other minorities), he probably wouldn't have liked them gaining a lot of the equality they did receive.  (In addition, this targeting of Jews could easily be because other minorities are comparatively rare in Germany)
