The paradox is that an irascimancer cannot be angry
himself. He can only enjoy anger vicariously through the
rage of others.
This is really more an honor system school, I think. The
only true game mechanic in place is that the adept cannot
use his rage stimulus. You have to have an honest player
who can appreciate his character's state of mind.
"Okay, your adept was just called a sissy."
"That's all right. I walk on by."
"The man says the Queen is a transvestite, and not even a
very good one."
"Big deal. I walk on by."
"Your character background said that you are severely loyal
to the Crown. This doesn't bother you?"
That could be tricky. A good role-player wouldn't even
have to invoke the rage stimulus. "He said what?!
*grumble* *erase charges* I tell him to screw off!"

>From a mechanics point of view, you have a point. I
appreciate the stories of the schools more. For example, I
like the amoremancers (sp?) and irascimancers, but I see
how those could hard to have in a campaign. To keep their
interests, the GM has to throw things in their way.
>That's one way of saying it. The other is that I'm only 20
and have just passed the phooking teenage. Shallow Grave
was published when I was a teenager: teenagers don't like
anything.
Ah, well, welcome to the adult years. Now life will truly
suck *grin* I suppose that properly explains why you
haven't Hellraiser until now. It's almost as old as you
(oh, crap, age madness check). I never did see The Omen
until 5 years ago, so I understand how you missed
Hellraiser (especially considering the rating you
described).
>Well, maybe sleeping with demons. And maybe Pulp Fiction,
which I watched about twenty times in a month or so. I've
calmed down since then.
I saw Pulp Fiction about five times in theatres (and yet
I'm blase about it enough to not even own it on DVD). One
of the times was with an 18-year-old. She was one of those
gothy chicks, and she said she was so horny after all the
violence in that movie. I could only roll my eyes at her.
