A-HA! At last I remember to ask!

See, when my players were reading about some of the schools prior to their character creation, one pointed out a well-argumented flaw in Irascimancy.

Let's take a modern example of the autonomes smashing places and having fun beating up cops. In the end, I believe they want a revolution. They're quite used to getting angry responses from people, and if one such revolutionary would discover Irascimancy, I don't think it'd be such an impossible task to get a HUNDRED people mad at you: just say <insert national hero or martyr here> was <something he really wasn't and is against the norm>. Voila! You have a revolution, or at least one biiiiig riot.

Can you use the effect on the very people you just pissed off? The Finnish political culture isn't too fiery, people silently submitting to anything and everything, so I'd just have to wait for the Defense Forces Day and claim that the WW2 veterans were all weak-willed submissive assholes that were being led by a lunatic maniac who was in addition gay (an argument that has been brought up in some book).

Wouldn't this make at least a hundred people angry? Fergodssakes, on our most popular TV channel the makers compared the hero to Archangel Michael who beat the Devil (the Soviets, that is) with his Divine Forces! And considering the apathy of the Finnish people, I probably wouldn't even be ripped apart.

Then suddenly fire would light up in my eyes, words booming out of the microphone, telling people to tear down everything they've believed in all their lives.

Way too easy to my tastes. Irascimancers are rare, of course, so there wouldn't be a revolution right every now and then, but the few very determined and mad individuals would get a *lot* of things done.

It should definitely be Rage that's invoked; or then the Irascimancy charge gaining system should be radically altered. I like the idea of anger firing magick, but the present manifestation has flaws. I don't have PoMoMa close by now, but was there even a paradox?
