>We have a misunderstanding. I was referring to what I think would be nifty in a computer game version of UA. RPGs have dialogue a plenty. How does one recreate or simulate that in a computer game without dissolving into endless canned text? Is it even possible?
The basic problem becomes one of effectively needing AI to have a significant freedom in conversation with a video game character. Lacking such freedom, you definitely lose something translating from table top to electronic format, (unless your tabletop games focused primarily on combat, in which case it's not a problem). Which is not to say an admirable game (I imagine a UA video game like MetalGear Solid but with ascension and magick instead of nuclear weapons and espionage, but that's mainly my preference and a disproportionate admiration of said game), just that the plot in a video game is a lot more limited.
