[UA] my version of BI3P

Hi,
maybe you remember me from some time ago when I did not have
to work so much. I wrote a couple of mails about the campaign
I am planning (and still not running).
But at least I ran the Bill in 3 Persons scenario once, and
for those who are interested what happened here comes a very
short version. (It was a test run with other players than
the ones I will run the campaign with)
I asked my boy-friend to
play Bill as an NPC. Well not quite. I let the stuff happen
to him as himself and I did not tell him everything about
the scenario so he would have some 'fun' ... and I had to add
a fourth scene where he was himself as we all know him to
make the connection to real life. Of course the others all
played themselves.
Now imagine you
are yourself, drive up to that crash and you see that a
friend of yours is involved. At first you do not notice that
the others look a lot like him. Then all of a sudden you
are in that supermarket and your friend is aiming a gun at
you and he does not recognize you (because the split occured
before he met the others in real life).
Then later you are in a different place and meet some strange
guy who looks like your friend, does not know you, carries the
same name, does weird things out of Matrix to some guy whom
he subsequently brutally kills and you have never before seen
Magick or believed it existed.
...
It went very well and I found it very cool to have someone take
over the work of playing the main NPC even though some things
worked out a little different than I thought. Their first thought
in the supermarket was to flee. They never ever thought of
getting involved ... or f.e. my 'Bill' reacted a lot more
aggressive in the second scene than I had thought he should.
It was really cool and with a couple of minor corrections I will
present the scenario as the beginning of the campaign to the
'real' group.
I just thought some people might be interested to hear
what I did. I found that the scenario lends itself very very well
to this kind of experiment: and it is a lot easier to have
someone play such an NPC.
I also found out that players who are themselves are a lot more
cautious than any other characters they ever had.
Ciao
Sonja
