[UA] Milwaukee?

Yeah, the MECCA is not a bad idea. However, it was demolished a few years ago
and GEN CON is actually held in the Midwest Express Center (much nicer, btw).

Some other ideas:
The Pabst Theatre (ritzy-ish theatre)
The Miller Brewery
The Rave (www.therave.com) / Eagles Ballroom
The Modjeska Theatre (picture your typical opera house and then don't clean it,
don't paint it, and tear out the front section of seats for the mosh pit. In a
"bad" part of town.)

The center of Milwaukee is dominated by a hellish and confusing concrete twist
of interchanges and highways. Often if you miss your exit, you're doomed to a
half hour of backtracking. When you first come into the city, the highway
(about 4 lanes) splits into two ways, one leading left on North Fondulac road.
Welcome to the ghetto, homeboy.

There is no smog or any of that but a lot of factories can be seen from the
highway spewing shit into the atmosphere. It's a dirty city, so live it up with
the trash and the grime. Darker colors: blues, grays, pale tones are a good
idea. In the city proper it's a bit claustrophobic with the few skyscrapers and
office buildings. Traffic is hell, keep that mind too. Moreso because of the
way the streets are set up, less because of traffic.

No, I don't live in Milwaukee. I live a hundred or so miles from the city and I
go there often for concerts.
