That the power to influence consciousness comes from dedication to
something that has no consciousness.  History is completely intangible, but
the importance is objective enough to harvest and use against people.

It is not meant to apply to all magickal attacks.  We just mentioned that
so that anything that protects from magickal attacks can be used to protect
against that curse.
