now, i know that you have all seen this movie at least one but it hasn't
turned up on any lists:

pi, the sci-fi thriller by darren aronofsky -- a film about chaos theory,
jewish mysticism and paranoia.  it seems like the protaganist (max cohen)
may have unlocked the secret pattern that links all number systems together
into a kind of order.  he might have also discovered the name of god...
