Not saying one system is better than the other, it's just that the American
Public has this certain idea of a what a D&D player is like.
So it's like having everyone judge you as if your favorite movie is "Willow",
when it's really "Pulp Fiction". Those people who would be into what
you're playing hear "D&D" and think "oh, it's fantasy stuff" and split or
write you off.
