Yeah, I know - but it works very well for keeping a lid on larps.

Hmm...I normally write one-or-two GM, 25-30 player once-off larps,
where the GM is partly there to resolve rules issues, and partly
there to keep the story going...I guess you could have the particular
events taking place during the larp under the influence of one Clergy
member more than another, so doing certain things would be more
sucessful...like if the Masterless Man was influencing events, any
act of independance or rebellion would more sucessful than it
"should" be...
You could also, I guess, have a few players "outside" the larp
playing Clergy...
