Thanks for the prompt response.
My solar panel is connected to the hot side of the tank which is then
connected to the load. I tried simulating the tank with 2 nodes and 10
nodes (please see attached) but in both cases, the tank is always providing
the water to the load at the setpoint temperature of 40 C (purple line)
even when the temperature coming from the solar system (red line) is higher.

Am I doing something wrong?
