[TRNSYS-users] VAV Air handlers

Ali,

   Types151 and 152 can both heat and cool. In the kind of VAV that 
Types151 and 152 model there is a central unit that can provide heating, 
cooling and reheat. The terminal units can only provide heat/reheat. As 
long as one zone in the whole system requires cooling then the central 
unit has to be in cooling mode. Any zones that require heat will get 
that heat from their own terminal unit boxes. All the terminal boxes 
(except for the one that needs cooling) will back off as much as they 
can (to their minimum air flow rate) and will provide the heat needed. 
If /all/ the zones need heat then the central unit's supply air 
temperature can move upwards.
