[TRNSYS-users] radiant cooling and heating model control

Sherif,

   Using a differential controller will work but Trnsys18 also has some
just-plain-thermostat models (Type106 or Type166) that might be easier
to implement. You'll need two connections. One connection might come
from an equation or a combination of an equation and a forcing function
that results in the temperature that you want the boiler to supply. The
equation might be:

isSummer = AND(GT(TIME,3624),LT(TIME,6552))
isWinter = 1-isSummer
boilerSetPoint = 85.*isSummer + 40.*isWinter

The other connection will be the temperature that is being monitored to
decide whether the boiler should be on or off. Again you'll probably
need some equations here so that the decision to turn on the boiler can
come in summer when conditions are such that you want to run the chiller
or in winter when you want heat.

kind regards,

  David
