Simon,
I am not sure what you mean by the definition of the number of pipes.
However, I would recommend that you have a look at the Type1231
documentation (located in ..\Tess
Models\Documentation\06-HVACLibraryMathematicalReference.pdf
It should give some explanation of how nPipes is used.
