Yang,

   There is no difference in functionality between the commercial and 
education versions; the only difference is a price discount offered to 
degree-granting institutions.

   In order to simulation the ground source heat pumps you'll need the 
TESS GHP library. You can model the boilers with standard components in 
the Trnsys18 library. There are a number of models in the TESS HVAC, 
controls, and hydronics libraries that might be helpful as well in 
modeling the balance of system.

   Without knowing more about the specifics of your smart grid, it is 
hard to suggest a particular Type. I think that you would be able to 
model such technologies using equations. If not then Trnsys18 includes a 
built-in utility for writing new Types so you could consider writing 
your own component.
