[TRNSYS-users] How to modelize a complex AHU without type 334 ?

Paul,

The answer to your question depends a bit on which version of TRNSYS
you are using and whether you have access to some of the add-ons that
are available. In v16 and v17 you are correct that the standard library
does not contain a lot of HVAC equipment models from which you could
assemble an air handler model. If you are using v16 or v17 you would
need to either write your own models or use an add-on such as Type334 or
components from the TESS HVAC library. In v18 the developers added a
number of HVAC equipment models but in order to model the internal
pieces of an air handler, you may well still need to use components from
outside the standard library.

In order to create a set point temperature for your zone you can use
the Type108 thermostat model. It is available in the standard library in
v17. You might also want to look at the tutorial called "temperature
level control from energy rate control"
It gives some information about the general methodology of modeling a
building using actual equipment models.

kind regards,

  David
