Dear TRNSYS users!
I am creating my own performance files for the TESS Type 927 Water-Water heat pump.
In the sample files "source side" and "load side" is used to define the two sides of the heat pump. In heating mode I assume the source side is the evaporator and the load side is the condenser but is the situation reversed in cooling mode? i.e. the load side is the evaporator and the source side is the condenser? In the sample files this seems to be the situation judging by the temperatures used.
However when defining the component one also has to give the model a "rated source flow rate" and "rated load flow rate" as well as fluid properties on source and load side respectively. This is where I got confused since it does not say if it is in cooling or heating mode.
Best regards
Mattias Ericsson
