[TRNSYS-users] Type 917 AWHP error

Safwan,
The Type917 example shows how a house can be cooled while heating a
tank of water. It isn't really appropriate to run the example in the
winter. In the climate used in the example, the house requires a
significant amount of heat. At first the water tank is cooled down to
provide heat to the house but the capacity of the heat pump is such that
it cannot provide as much heat as the house requires. The house
temperature falls and psychrometrics warnings begin to be generated.
Once the limit on warnings is reached the simulation stops. The example
is not intended to model a complete, realistic system but to show how
Type917 might be connected as part of a system.

If you intend to call Matlab as part of a TRNSYS simulation, you can
use Type155. You simply need to make sure that the version of
Type155.dll (located in the ..\Trnsys17\Exe directory matches your
version of Matlab). Type155 was developed to communicate with Matlab
releases 13, 14, and more recent. I am not sure whether it is compatible
with earlier releases. For additional information, please refer to the
Type155 section of the 04-MathematicalReference.pdf manual.
regards,
  David
