[TRNSYS-users] Closed Cycle Solar Hot Water System

Joshua,
Pumps typically set the flow rate for a loop based on their rated
flow rate and the value of the input control signal. There are some pump
models that will allow you to set the control signal to a value greater
than 1 and therefore to exceed the pump's rated flow rate. I would
recommend that you break your flow loop by removing one of the
connections (the one that returns to the pump would be best). Then use
an online plotter to look at the temperature and flow rate coming out of
each component in the loop. Verify that you do not have any incorrect
connections. Once you are convinced that there are no connection
problems, reconnect the loop but disconnect whatever is connected to
your pump's control signal. Force the control signal to be a known value
either by setting a constant input value or by setting an equation. I
think these tests will probably lead you to the problem.
Kind regards,
  David
