Eva,
Unfortunately converting Type56 back is probably the most
complicated. I would start by opening the *.b17 in TRNBuild for Trnsys17
then make sure that the solar radiation connections are all set to
"external by another component" (hint: double click on each orientation
to see the way that it is set). I would then save the *.b17 file.
Next, open a *.bui file in TRNBuild for Trnsys16, then open the same
file in TRNBuild for Trnsys17. Save a copy of the *.bui each time so
that you end up with something like:
myBuilding_v16.bui
myBuilding_v17.b17
these are both text files so you can open them with a text-compare tool
(like CompareIt - http://www.grigsoft.com/wincmp3.htm). You'll quickly
see the syntax changes that are required when moving from a v16 *.bui to
a v17 *.b17. You'll have to manually make those changes in reverse to
take the *.b17 that you actually care about back down to v16.
the rest of the project is going to be a little easier. Here, I would
start by opening the *.tpf in Studio v17 and writing the *.dck. Then
open Studio v16 and select File: Import Trnsys Input File and point to
the *.dck that you just created. This process does its best but is not
100%. Its not that it always fails, its just that the *.tpf has a lot
more information in it than is written to the *.dck (line colors, paths,
comments, etc.) These cannot be exported/imported.
I'm sorry the process is so complicated.
