[TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS ERROR (dll loaded but not found)

Tim,

Thank you for responding to my question. I am working on a project with someone working outside of our school. He told me he has used this type in his simulations. I have not compiled this type on my machine. Our group needs to purchase "Visual Numerics IMSL* Fortran Library" to be able to compile his codes. The component is functional in the TRNSYS Studio. For example, one of the parameters is "number of nodes", when you change this value, the number of inputs/outputs change. For this to happen the dll must be actively used by TRNSYS, because as I understand it, the proforma does not execute any kind of code.

Aaron -

The Type203.dll is loaded, but TRNSYS is not finding Type203 exported from that dll. Make sure that you have the DLLexport command correct in your Type203 code.

I have encountered an error when trying to run a simulation with a user written component. The list file indicates the Type has been loaded, then later states that the type cannot be found. See error received below.

*** Notice at time : 0.000000

Generated by Unit : Not applicable or not available

Generated by Type : Not applicable or not available

Message : "Type203.dll" was found but did not contain any components from the input file.

There is a Type 203 in the simulation, and then when it is called, it cannot be found.

*** Fatal Error at time : 0.000000

    Generated by Unit : 2

    Generated by Type : 203

TRNSYS Message 105 : A TYPE was called in the TRNSYS input file but was either not linked into trndll.dll or was not found in an external dll. A dummy subroutine was called in its place. Please link the TYPE or remove it from the input file

    Reported information : Not available

The performa uses Type number 203, the dll was written with Type203 on the first li ne of the code.

SUBROUTINE TYPE203 (TIME,XIN,OUT,T,DTDT,PAR,INFO,ICNTRL,*)

The dll i stored in the "Release Folder" in the User Lib. Any ideas on how this is happening?
