[TRNSYS-users] Using Trnsys for BREEAM certification

Isabelle,
   TRNSYS models economizers in a few different ways. Unless I am 
mistaken, there is an economizer model in the TESS HVAC library (an 
add-on to the standard TRNSYS library of components). However, 
economizers vary widely in their control. Fundamentally, they increase 
the amount of outdoor air that is brought into the building when ambient 
conditions are favorable. The operation of such a device can be easily 
modeled using equations within the TRNSYS input file. So yes, TRNSYS can 
model the ASHRAE reference building economizer but it isn't necessarily 
a plug-and-play situation.
