This is apossible reason for your error. 

There is an error in the default Google sketch up file which it loads each 
time Sketch up starts. 
This file is called Untitled.skp & untitled.idf. 
Please find and delete all these files and start Sketch Up

A good working version is SketchUp7 & Trnsys3D1.5.2  SketchUp 8 has some 
problems. So if problem does not get resolved, revert to SketchUp7

Hi everybody
I recieve the following program each time I start sketchup:

Sorry...the plugin has encountered an error.  This error may cause
unpredictable behavior in the plugin--continue this session with
caution!  It would probably be a good idea to exit SketchUp and start
again.
