Dear Trnsys-users,

I've some question concerning windows in Trnsys. When you want to implement a window (with a known U-value and g-value) but there is no corresponding window in the library, can you somewhere adapt the U-value and g-value?
I know you can use window5 to make a new window in your library, but sometimes I don't know the layers of my window but just the U-value en g-value. Can you adapt perhaps the values of the additional heat resistance of an external shading device to achieve the wanted value? Or adapt the U-value of the profile?

When you do use window5: you have to introduce a profile too. But in trnsys, you select the created window under "Glazing". Do you then still have to introduce the U-value of the profile in Trnsys or ... ?

Thanks in advance,
