David,
   Any weather file that has high-quality beam radiation in it should be 
fine. I would recommend starting with Type15 in the meteonorm (TMY2) 
format mode. There is a significant amount of TMY2 format weather data 
provided in the TRNSYS weather data archive for locations around the world.
