Marshall,
If you are getting an error from TRNBuild when you save it is because TRNBuild is not able to determine the transfer fucntion coefficients that describe the transient behavior of one of the walls in your *.bui. If you open the *.inf file and look at the bottom, you should see the transfer fuction coefficients for various walls. Note the name of the last wall that was created, then, look up at the definition of the walls earlier in te *.bui file. The wall after the last one that was created is the wall that caused TRNBuild a problem.
What I would recommend you do is to look in the ..\Trnsys16_1\Tess Models\Studio Projects\Ground Coupling Library directory for the example project that uses Type701 and begin modifying it instead of starting from scratch with your basement project.
