[TRNSYS-users] Geoexchange Field Design

Fred,
  Type557 has a built-in assumption of a cylindrical bore-field
configuration. It might be possible to fake the thermal properties in
order to model a single line of bores but I am not sure I'd know how to
suggest that you accomplish that. There are a few models out there for
borefields that allow you to place the bores wherever you want but I've
not used any of them.

As for the run-outs (between the bore field and the heat exchanger),
I'd use the simplified buried pipe that is in the TESS Library
(basically Type31 but with an embedded ground temperature model) because
its quick. Type556, while a more detailed model of the run-out is
slower. Both models account for the thermal capacitance of the fluid in
the pipe.
Kind Regards,
 David
