Bastien / Christophe / etc.,

David is correct, however, TRNSYS 17 will allow a user-defined
emissivity for both external and internal walls. TRNSYS 17 is planned
for release this September.

Regards,

Erik

Cristophe and Bastien,
I believe that the emissivity of walls in Type56 is assumed to always
be 0.9 and that there is not a convenient way to model low emissivity
materials in TRNSYS 16.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear Trnsys-users,

I'm trying to modelize a low emissivity material to evaluate its impact
on summer confort of buildings. Can I change the long wave emissivity of
the outside surfaces of walls? I read in the User Guide the default
value of emissivity is 0.9 for any walls.

Has anyone ever tried to modelize this kind of "reflecting" material?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Best regards,

Bastien Garbay
