Dear Panagiotis Tsekouras,

Please make sure you are opening the "TRNSYS16.ini" located in C:\Program
Files\Trnsys16_1\Optimization\Genopt\Configuration.

Also, please refer to the  GENOPT.log file (in the
TRNSYS16_1\Optimization\GenOpt\Configuration\ directory by default) and
the TRNSYS list file TRNGEN.LST (in the
TRNSYS16_1\Optimization\Simulation\ directory by default) for sources of
the problem.

If this still does not work, please let me know.

Dear all,



I am trying to use GenOpt in order to optimize a project. After following
all the steps of the first window appeared when initializing the GenOpt
(select input file, select and specify variables, use a cost equation to
minimize and choose the optimization method, browsing the TRNSYS. ini file)
the following message appears without running the project.



Initialize.

java.lang.Exception:

Exception in executing the simulation program

Current command String: 'c:\Program Files\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNEXE.EXE
"c:\Program
Files\Trnsys16_1\optimization\GENOPT\SIMULATION\GenoptInputFile.DCK" /n
/WAIT '.

Exception message:

Error in executing the simulation program

Exit value of the simulation program: 1

Current command String              : 'c:\Program
Files\Trnsys16_1\Exe\TRNEXE.EXE "c:\Program
Files\Trnsys16_1\optimization\GENOPT\SIMULATION\GenoptInputFile.DCK" /n
/WAIT '.

Error stream of simulation program  : Simulation program did not return an
error stream.

GenOpt terminated with error.

See logfile for further information.



Has anyone faced the same problem before?
