Hi Fredery,
You cannot do such direct conversion, from tmy to tm2.  From the SEL website:
"TMY and TMY2 data sets cannot be used interchangeably because of
differences in time (solar versus local), formats, elements, and units."

But there may be another way of doing this:
You can open the tmy file as a text file in Excel. The first thing
that it will ask you is how to interpret the data. Using the Table II
on this link (http://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/weather/standard_tmy.htm),
you can define how to separate the information in columns.  Once you
have the data in columns in Excel, you can create a 'user' weather
file that you can read with Type109.

As an example, on the SEL website, there is an Excel macro that lets
you read a tm2 file into Excel. Go to
