[TRNSYS-users] Problem of convergence in modelling an heat pump in off state

Chun Kwon,
   Each of the components has to set its outputs to something 
appropriate when that component is off. What is usually done is that 
when there is no flow into the component, its outlet temperature is 
set to the inlet temperature. This of course assumes that the flow 
rate and temperature of fluid entering the component are both inputs 
to the model. You can look at the source code for Type6 to see how 
that component handles the situation when there is either no flow 
into the heater or when the heater control signal is set to OFF.
