[TRNSYS-users] Converting data reader to TRNSYS 16

Steve,
If you are reading a standard TMY file (either TMY, TMY2, or the
old TRNSYS TMY format), I would suggest that you replace Type9 with
Type15. Type15 combines the functionality of Type89 (which reads
standard format files such as TMY2 and TRNSYS TMY) with Type16 and
Type69. It avoids some of the problems of setting Type16 parameters
correctly and of making connections between those components. Also,
be sure that you changed the start time of your simulation. The
TRNSYS 15 convention was that the start time was the hour of the year
at the end of the first time step (although often you had to tweak
this around to get it to actually work correctly). In TRNSYS 16, the
start time is the hour of the year at the beginning of the first time
step. I hope that helps.
