<I am working on heat pumps simulations with type 556 (horizontal buried
pipe in the GHP librairy (TESS)).
I tried to use this type with several parameters, alone or included in a
simulation and I always get the following error message : stack overflow.
I hope anybody can give me some explanations or technical support.>

Vincent,

Without seeing the error message or looking at your input file, its
difficult to assess the source of the error. However, from personal
experience I can tell you that using Type 556 is never easy. We've
written a new buried pipe model to replace Type 556 for the next release
of the TESS Libraries. 556 was based on a graduate student's source code
and has never been inherently stable. I can send you that model if you'd
like; I think you'll find its a much better model. We've also written a
multi-pipe horizontal ground heat exchanger model for TRNSYS that will be
available with the next release of the TESS Libraries - and is currently
available as a stand-alone purchase. Details can be found on the
TRNSYS.com website.
