[TRNSYS-users] reg - timebase and zone temperature

Raj,
The timebase is used to calculate the coefficients that describe the
thermal behavior of the walls in the building over time. These coefficients
are essentially values that tell you how important the temperature
difference across the wall and energy transfer through the wall were at t-n
timebases ago. You can think of the time base as the pixel size in the
picture that makes up the temperature history of the wall. By changing the
time base from 1 hour to 2 hours, you are essentially cutting the
pixelation of your picture in half. It is not too surprising that you would
see a bit different temperature response in the zone from changing your
time base. The difference must be within reason of course...
Kind regards,
  David
