Hi again,

I just tried out the 25b, and it seems to work OK.

I guess the trick is that you have to enter the right number of user defined
units in the "Special Cards" tab. If you don't, you may get surprising
results indeed, because TRNSYS tries to use pieces of the next unit for the
missing data, or your additional units for the next one.

Per default there are lots of units in the special cards tab, you have to
delete the one you don't use (depending on how many columns you want in your
data file).

If you can't get it to work, feel free to send us a sample project.

Objet : [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS 16 - Type25b (User-Supplied Units) Problem

Dear All,

Type 25b (User-Supplied units) seems to have problem. I have had the
following error message a number of times with various projects. Usually,
the error message appear after a number of runs and when you edit the
connections to this TYPE. Unfortunately, the TRNSYS 16 error diagnostics
(see below) doesn't seem to be able to detect this problem and provide a
solution.

My solution so far is: simply change this to Type25c ... never use type 25b.

TRNSYS Message 48 : The TRNSYS processor has reported that an
unrecognized control card was found while trying to read the input file.
This error can be caused by underspecifying a required number of items in
the input file. For example, specifiying only 9 parameters after a
"PARAMETERS 10" card has been read can cause this error. The line that
caused this error is listed in the reported information below.
