Alternatively, you could download and use the new weather component from 
TESS (Type 201) which calculates the mains water temperature for each of 
the TMY-2 sites as a function of time (IWEC, CWEC as well).  It's easy to 
use, easy to install, and better yet, it's free!  The model also calculates 
the heating and cooling seasons for US TMY-2 locations and the ground 
reflectance based on whether the ground is covered by snow.  The 201 model 
is a combination of Types 16 and Types 89 with some nice features thrown in...
