Florian,

you do not need to model every single collector and the flow diverters
will be needless. It makes (nearly) no difference to use 20 collector
units or to use just one with the same area. The temperature increase
depents linearly on the mass flow. So the solar gain would be the same
with one collector 20 m^2, 600 kg/h and 10 collectors 2 m^2, 60kg/h
each. There is an insignificant correction factor for the number of
collectors in row (do not ask me details about it). It is applicable for
a field consisting of one row or several parallel rows as long as each
row has got the same number of collectors. If you want to examine the
influence of single collectors which are restricted in their operation
(due to steam etc.) it would be the better chocie to model every single
collector of your collector field.

I hope my explanation is clear enough.

Timo

Dear Users ,

the collectors in the collectorfield are connected by the tichelmann
system ( same way, same pressuredrop, same flow rate).
Did anyone know a better solution ,than use flow diverter....? thanks
FLO
