Hello Timo,
I don´t have any experience with Type 34, but what I would do is to control
it with an external equation component. You can define two values as inputs,
one would be the shading factor calculated by type 34 ( ex: In34) and the
other one, a constant value for the venician blinds (ven_blin = 0.5). Then
you can define an equation that takes the biggest value between these
inputs. Something like:
If In34 > ven_blin then => Total_shading = In34
If In34 < ven_blin then => Total_shading = ven_blin
You can then connect this output value (Total_shading) with your Type56.
Hope it helps.
Viele Grüße,
Susanna Medel

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] Type 34 shading device and additional external
shading
Hello,
it is the first time I use Type 34 with Type 56 and until now everything
worked fine. But what I actually want to simulate is a window shaded by
slats at the façade (wingwall shading) and by an additional external
shading device (venician blinds). How can I combine the values resulting
from these two effects?
My two ideas were:
1 I can multiply (equation component or directly in the building
description) the shading factor calculated by type 34 with an additional
external shading factor (say 0.5). But the result can be 0 (no shading)
although the window is shaded.
2 I can add these two values which may result in a shading factor larger
than 1...
Type 34 has been discussed several times in the group but I did not find
any hints on that problem. Has somebody got an idea?
Thanks for your advice!
Timo
