For those who asked for help.  I tried most of the actions below and it did not work for me but perhaps…….

Hi Melissa,

It sounds like there might be an issue with your registry values. Here are a few quick things to check:

1. Try running eQuest as an Administrator.
2. Check your system date/clock and ensure it is synchronized online.
3. Confirm you are not double-clicking too quickly, which can sometimes open two instances of eQuest simultaneously.

If the problem persists, please try the following:

1. Press Win+R, type regedit, and press Enter.
2. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DOE\eQuest (or possibly HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\DOE\eQuest, depending on your version).
3. Delete the entire eQuest folder.
4. Close the Registry Editor and run eQuest as an Administrator again.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try a clean reinstall:

1. Uninstall eQuest.
2. Manually delete the following folders:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\eQuest
- C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\DOE
3. Delete the registry keys noted above.
4. Reinstall eQuest and run it as an Administrator the first time.

I have not had this issue before but I hope these solutions help.
