[Equest-users] auxilliary heat and desiccant wheel

Thanks that is very helpful. However, I think I have something
fundamentally wrong with the HVAC. I have two airside system types. One is
the packaged hvac heat pump and one is the unit I am going to use as the
fresh air erv. I have them both assigned to the same shell component under
the first screen shown below.
When I try to do what you say below and modify the systems under detail
mode, I see this.
Where am I supposed to modify the heat recovery? Under each zone?

Hi Alan!
1. "auxilliary strip heat:" Not totally sure what specifically you're
talking about (vocabulary disconnect probably), but I think you'll find what
you're looking for under the "supplemental heat/defrost tab" in detailed
mode.
2. Look in the same place first. alternatively you may be able to
specify dual fuel as a pre-heat option
3. Easiest approach, for projects large and small, generally is to:
a. Go to the airside system(s) served by the OA unit,
b. Enable/define energy recovery inputs (including wheel properties),
and
c. Proportion out the delivered flow rates and fan/process energies of
your OA unit between the served systems

How do I factory in the auxilliary strip heat or use a dual fuel heat option
for packaged heat pumps? Also how do I put in a desiccant wheel for an
outside air unit?
