[Bldg-sim] go-to forum for LEED

Hello everyone,
I’m part of the new generation of modelers (2023 graduate) and recently
joined this list (around November, if I’m not mistaken). This is my first
time participating in a discussion here, so I hope I’m doing this
correctly! I’ve been part of other forum formats before, but mailing lists
are new to me. If this message doesn’t appear correctly in the thread, I
apologize in advance.
I’ve been working on connecting with as many platforms and organizations as
possible. In the past, I’ve used LEEDuser to find answers to specific
questions, though it often feels a bit impersonal—almost like shouting into
the void. I tend to search and read through threads rather than asking
questions right away.
In my experience, the Ladybug forum has been the most helpful so far, as it
allows users to share files, troubleshoot issues, and post solutions.
However, I often hesitate to ask questions there, worried they might seem
too basic, so I usually try to figure things out on my own—which can be a
slow process. Because of that, I haven’t yet felt fully integrated into the
broader modeling community.
Joining the BLDG-SIM mailing list was a step toward changing that. I’m
excited to learn from everyone, and start contributing to the conversation.
