[TRNSYS-users] A problem in modeling a Stand Alone PV Station

Dear Binbin Ge,
The PV module requires not only total but beam and diffuse radiation
as well as incidence angle. By leaving the beam and diffuse radiation
inputs to type94 unconnected, the model takes these to be constantly
zero and all the radiation falling on the module is assumed to be ground
reflected. If you are able to generate beam and diffuse radiation (as
well as total) then you should include them in your data file and read
these with your Type9 weather data reader. Note, I am a little confused
when you say that the weather can be read by Type109 but in your
simulation, it is being read by a Type9. If you cannot generate beam and
diffuse then somehow you will need to generate the total on the
horizontal then use a type16 radiation processor to compute an estimate
of the split between beam and diffuse radiation.
Best,
  David
